Emergency School Closing Procedure

Administration will make the decision as to school closing no later than 6:30 A.M.

The following radio stations will be notified in the following order:

  1. K.C.H.I. FM / 102.5 on your radio / Chillicothe
  2. K.T.T.N. FM / 92.3 on your radio / Trenton
  3. K.G.O.Z. FM / 101.7 on your radio / Trenton
  4. K.Z.B.K. FM / 96.9 on your radio / Brookfield
  5. K.M.Z.U. FM / 100.7 on your radio / Carrollton
  6. K.R.E.S. FM / 104.7 on your radio / Moberly
The following Television stations will also carry our information:

The Annual FFA fruit, cookie dough and meat sales campaign will begins today.  We look forward to making a sales call with you! All funds raised help pay for FFA trip/educational expenses
District Girls Softball @ Newton-Harris:  6:30pm.  Bus leaves at 4:15pm.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2016:
Chemistry students to UMKC for labs.  Bus leaves at 6:00 am.  Labs run from 9- 6 pm.  We will return as soon as everyone finishes.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2016:
High School Faculty Meeting at 7:45am in the FACS room.
Competitive Drumline Rehearsal  (8 - 8:10 AM)
NHS is sponsoring a Blood Drive from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Community Center.
MWSU Rep will be in the Spanish room during Ac Lab to meet with the students who signed up with Mrs. Cokerham
October Parents as Teacher Play Group - 3:30-4pm - Fire Safety with the Meadville Fire Dept. The fire truck will be here, hope you can make it. (All children birth to 5 years old living in our school district are welcome!)
Cross Country Practice after School
Jr. High Basketball Game @ Norborne:  6:00pm.  Bus will leave at 4:15pm.  Shoot around at 3:30pm.

Congratulations to Brooke Crosser for leading our Chapter's Grassland Evaluation team at District competition on Thursday.

Congratulations to Emily Meneely, Kirsten Graves, Jullian Alkire and Kaytlin Daniels for qualifying for the State 4-H Grasslands Evaluation contest!

Sophomores & Juniors with a 3.25 GPA interested in attending the Summer Talent Academy for Professions in Health (STAPH) June 18-25 at Truman State University need to talk to Mrs. Cokerham for a nomination by November 9.  "STAPH aims to educate students about careers in health care and to provide a jump-start to a future in medicine, nursing, psychology/psychiatry, and allied health professions."

7th graders - Juniors interested in applying for the Zombie Scholars Academy June 18-25 at Truman State University need to talk to Mrs. Cokerham for a nomination by November 9.  "Students at the Academy have dissected brains under the tutelage of a nationally-known Harvard psychologist and physician, chatted about creative zombie fiction with a CNN writer, worked with a Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Weapons response unit to learn about quarantine procedures, built field shelters with limited resources, and explored the philosophical, psychological, and sociological issues of disasters and crises with Truman faculty, among many other projects."
