Administration will make the decision as to school closing no later than 6:30 A.M.

Meadville R-IV will be administering the ACT at no cost to all Juniors on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. DESE requires all Juniors to take the ACT; students who are absent on April 19 will test on May 3, 2016. JH Honor Band - Leaves at 7:45 am, Rehearsal begins at 9 am, Concert begins at 5 pm. Be sure to bring dress clothes to change into for the concert.
District Basketball begins at Green City.   Times to be announced.

 

Congratulations to the following students for being the first Meadville FBLA members to place at this years District 3 Leadership Conference held in Kirksville, MO.  Joel for Placing 1st in  Agribusiness testing, Mackenize for placing 1st in Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure testing  and Dillon for placing 2nd in Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure testing.  They will all have the opportunity to compete at the state level in April.

Sunday, 2/14/16: 5th-6th grade boys basketball practice from 1-3.   Parents meeting at 1.  Thank you, John Schmitz.

The FCCLA is hosting a Winter Formal on Friday, February 19th from 7-10pm. Out of town date forms are available from Mrs. Edwards and must be turned in BEFORE THE DANCE.

National FFA Week Feb. 21-28.  Supporter's Breakfast on Friday, February 26th, 6:00 - 8:00 am at Meadville Community Center 

JUNIOR PARENTS:  We will be having a meeting on Wednesday, February 27 at 6:30 in the Library. We will be discussing food options, after prom party, and donations. 

The ag construction class has several wooden dog houses for sale that we have built.  Prices range from $65-$150.  Stop by the ag building to take a look.  We also have an 8 ft.picnic table for sale for $135.

Sophomores:  Win a trip to Jefferson City, July 20-22, 2016 to learn more about government and leadership!  Write an essay is response to the following question and submit it to Farmers' Electric prior to February 19, 2016.  This year's essay question is "Co-ops are powered with passion.  For example, early founders demonstrated passion when they spent their free time walking farmstead to farmstead, convincing rural families to spend $5 and create electric cooperatives.  Their passion led to what President Franklin D. Roosevelt called one of the greatest advancements in quality of life for rural America.  What is your passion?"

Juniors and Seniors interested in a career in law enforcement:  The Missouri State Highway Patrol Student Alliance Program will take place from 9:30 am-4 pm on March 19 and 26 in Macon, MO.  Interested students can pick up an application from Mrs. Cokerham.  Applications are due February 25, 2016.  

Juniors:  GRM Networks is looking for two juniors to sponsor on a trip to Washington, D.C. June 4-8, 2016.  Applications are available at www.grm.net/youthtour and are due March 11, 2016.

Kate's Kountry Kookin' will be donating 10% of her Meadville sales on Tuesdays to the Meadville PTO, in order to help fund elementary field trips and assembly's.

The Shafter 4-H Club will be meeting on Sunday, February 14th at 4:00 pm in the basement of the Meadville United Methodist Church. Please bring non-perishable food items with you to donate to the Linn County Food Pantry. If you have questions, please contact Laurie at 660-247-3792.
