FFA Breakfast – 7:00-9:00am
The Pumpkin Fest 5K Run/Walk will begin at 7:00 a.m. at the Strickler Park shelter house. The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. Entry fee is $25. 
Pedal Tractor Pull – 9:00am
Marching Eagles report to the band room at 9:30 am, parade at 11 am
Barnyard – 10:00am.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congrats to the Eagle Pride Marching Band for placing 2nd in the ToonFest Parade.

Meadville FFA Trap Team Shotgun Raffle.  Time is running out to get your ticket purchased for a chance to win a Limited Edition Browning Silver Micro 12 Gauge Shotgun.  Proceeds go to Meadville Trap Team, in cooperation with Quail Forever Shortgrass Chapter.

The 8th grade will be having a bake sale as a fundraiser at the Pumpkin Fest.  We are asking each 8th grader to bring 2 items for the bake sale.  More information will be sent home with students next week.

The Sophomores will be going to the My Success Event on Thursday, October 9.  We will leave school at 8:15 am and return around 1:45 pm.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED OCTOBER 11TH AT 9:00AM TO HELP TEAR DOWN BLOCK STORAGE SHED AT THE BALLFIELD.  CALL JOHN SCHMITZ AT 660-938-4333 FOR ANY QUESTIONS.

The Meadville Art Department is requesting donations of clean plastic bottles. These can be water bottles, 20 oz pop bottles (colored ones are fine, too), and 2-liter bottles. Please make sure they are clean, and they can be dropped off in the art room. Thank you so much!!

Seniors:  The Hagan Scholarship is now available and must be submitted by November 15, 2014.  This scholarship is open to anyone with a 3.5 or higher GPA, a composite score of 23 on the ACT, and works at least 240 hours during the summer.  Applicants are required to fill out the 2014 FAFSA prior to November 15 & have an Expected Family Contribution of less than $7,500.  Applications may be found online at www.hsfmo.org

Seniors:  Go to WendysHeisman.com to apply for the Wendy's High School Heisman Award.  This scholarship is open to all seniors who participate in athletics.

Students in grades 5-12 who have participated in community service activities in the last year can apply for the Prudential Spirit of Community Award Program.  For more information or to apply, visit spirit.prudential.com/promotion by November 4, 2014.
