SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2014:
FFA Pecan Harvest has been postponed to a later date.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2014:
Cheer Practice:  7:30am
Secondary Faculty Meeting:  7:50am in the FACS room.
FFA officer meeting during AC lab.
Dance Practice:  3:30pm.
Varsity Basketball Practice: Girls: 3:30-5:30pm.  Boys practice after basketball game.
Jr. High Basketball Game w/Atlanta: 6:00pm Concession Stand: Juniors
Meet the Eagles Night:  Come cheer on the JHBB teams vs. Atlanta, and meet the Varsity Meadville Eagle basketball teams. The varsity girls will be announced during half time of the Jr. High Girls game. The Varsity Boys will be announced at Half time of the JH Boys Game. The boys will practice after the conclusion of the JH Boys game if you would like an early look of the upcoming season. Admission will be free with three food items to be donated the Linn County Food Pantry.
Booster Club Appreciation Night, Booster Club Members get into the JHBB game tonight for free. See John Schmitz about membership. 

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2014
Cheer Practice: 7:30am
FFA officer meeting during AC lab.
FFA Northeast District Speech Contest beginning at 5:00 pm at South Shelby High School.  Bus will leave MHS at 3:15 pm.
Dance Practice: 3:30pm.
Varsity Basketball Practice: Girls – 3:30-5:00pm Boys – 5:00-6:30pm.
Jr. High Basketball Game at Hale: 6:00pm. Bus will leave at 5:00pm.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2014:   MID TERM
Cheer Practice:  7:30am
1st Grade please return your library books today.
Dance Practice:  3:30pm
FFA Greenhand/Chapter Degree Initiation ceremony/November meeting at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria.  Guest Speaker will be Yia Yang, Missouri State FFA vice-president.
Varsity Basketball Practice: Boys – 3:30-5:00pm. Girls – 5:00-6:30pm.
Board of Education Meeting at 7:00pm. 

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2014:

Parents as Teachers (PAT) Play Group in the school cafeteria:  5-6pm   Bring a friend for our "Being Healthy" Group Connection time.  All children residing in our school district (birth to 4yr old) are welcome!!
7th & 8th Grade Basketball Game at T.A. has been cancelled.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2014:
No Cheer or Dance Practice today.
Elementary Faculty Meeting:  7:30am in the Library.
Mid Terms will be sent home.
5th Grade to the Shrine Circus.  Bus leaves at 7:30am and return around 4:30pm.
Varsity Basketball Jamboree at Carrolton:  6:00pm.  Bus will leave at 4:30pm.   Wear purple – Girls play in the Elementary and Boys in the High School. 

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2014:
Dual Enrollment Chemistry students to UMKC for Chemistry lab.  We will leave at 6:15 am and return as soon as everyone is finished.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to the following FFA members for writing and delivering a speech at the Area Contest: Tierann, Audrey, Kellie, Jessica, Shelby, Brooke, Nolan, Joel, Benjamin and Johnathan.  Audrey placed first in the Cooperative Division while Tierann, Kellie and Jessica placed second in the Farm Bureau, Cooperative and Missouri Cattlemen's divisions respectively.  Joel was the alternate in the Pork Producer's division.

PLEASE NOTE:  From this point on, the Gabber will be sent home with students!!!!

The Missouri Gaming Association is announcing the Project 21 2015 Scholarship Program.  Two scholarships at $1,500 and four at $1,000 will be awarded to Seniors in Missouri who create a poster, video or write an article discouraging underage gambling.  See Mrs. Cokerham for contest guidelines.

Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation has an online scholarship search available to high school seniors and students in college.  Go to www.epsilonsigmaalpha.org to create an account and begin applying for scholarships.

The Yellow Creek Gobblers NWTF Chapter in Linn Co. has a $500.00 scholarship open to students living in Linn Co.  Go to http://www.nwtf.org/jakes/scholarship.html to apply by January 1, 2015.

The Show-Me Chapter of the Soil & Water Conservation Society has a $2,000 scholarship for students planning to major in conservation or a natural resources-related field.  Go to http://www.moswcs.org/scholarship for more information.  Applications must be postmarked by December 1, 2014.

The Conservation Foundation of Missouri offers 5 scholarships for $1,000 to students in different natural resources areas.  Go to http://www.moswcs.org/scholarship to apply by December 31, 2014.
Sophomores: Class dues have been set at $20 this year. Please get your dues paid to Mr. Anderson or Mrs. McLain. 

Yearbooks are now on sale for the 2014-2015 school year. From now until January 1st, 2015 the price will be $35 and $40 after the deadline. If you would like to order a yearbook please see Scott Singleton, Karen Surber, or order online at www.meadvillemoeagles.org .

S.T.A.N.D., Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014  – 5:30-7:00pm    Supper Provided

BOOSTER CLUB MEMBERSHIP: support the athletic department and become a member for only $20.00 per family or $50.00 per business. Booster Club appreciation night will be November 17.  All booster club members and immediate family get in free at the junior high basketball vs. Atlanta. Make checks out to Meadville Booster Club and give to Kathy Seckington or John Schmitz. Thank you for your support.
