Emergency School Closing Procedure

Administration will make the decision as to school closing no later than 6:30 A.M.

The following radio stations will be notified in the following order:

  1. K.C.H.I. FM / 98.5 on your radio / Chillicothe
  2. K.T.T.N. FM / 92.3 on your radio / Trenton
  3. K.G.O.Z. FM / 101.7 on your radio / Trenton
  4. K.Z.B.K. FM / 96.9 on your radio / Brookfield
  5. K.M.Z.U. FM / 100.7 on your radio / Carrollton
  6. K.R.E.S. FM / 104.7 on your radio / Moberly
The following Television stations will also carry our information:

GREENHOUSE NEWS!!  We will open from 3:30pm until 6:30pm M-F and Saturdays 9-12.  We have a wide selection of flowers, hanging baskets, pots and lots of tomatoes, broccoli, cabbage and peppers.

SUNDAY, APRIL 26, 2015:
FFA Officer interviews at 5:30pm in the Library.

MONDAY, APRIL 27, 2015:
High School meeting in FACS room at 7:45am.
MAP Testing for grades 3, 5, 7 and 8
FFA meeting during AC Lab in the gym.
FFA Officers meet after school:  3:35pm.
Jr High Track at Northwestern bus leaves at 2:30. field events start at 3:30 running to follow.

TUESDAY, APRIL 28, 2015:
All Juniors will be taking the ACT from 8:15am-1:30pm at the school.  
MAP Testing for grades 5 and 8
Varsity Track at  Northwestern bus leaves at 2:30, field events start at 3:30 running events to follow.
Kids in the Kitchen  Group 1 (3rd grade)
FFA Spring Awards Banquet in the gym:  6:30pm.  This is an official dress event.  Officers should be ready to help at 5:45pm.
Linn Co. Spelling Bee at Brookfield:  7:00pm.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29, 2015:
Jr High / High School Track at La Plata. Bus leaves at 7:15 A.M.. Field Events Start at 9:00.  Running Starts at 11:30. BRING LUNCH, OR MONEY TO EAT AT CONCESSION STAND, WE WILL STOP ON THE WAY HOME.

1st grade please turn in your library books today.
SENIORS:  All your obligations (lunch, library, dues, uniforms, etc.) must be taken care of by the end of the day today.

THURSDAY, APRIL 30, 2015:

EOC Testing for Algebra I and Biology I – Session 1
Principal’s Honor Roll Luncheon.  Permission slips will be sent home with time and location earlier in the week.

Sports Awards Banquet:  6:00 pm. We are asking all families to bring two dishes of the following items. If you cannot bring your designated item, please bring something else.  Seniors – meat;  Juniors - salads and dessert;  Soph - casseroles and bread;  Fresh - vegetable and casseroles;  8th - desserts and vegetable;  7th - bread and salads.  Drinks and table service will be provided.

FRIDAY, MAY 1, 2015:
The third grade class is in need of small jars and/or containers. Each jar or container must have a screw-on lid and hold approximately 8 ounces.  If you have any to donate, please send them to school by today.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Varsity Scholar Bowl finished District competition in 2nd place.  Nolan won 1st place individual.  Congratulations to Nolan and the team.


Seniors:  Please let Mrs. Cokerham know of any scholarships you are receiving from colleges or organizations so they can be announced at graduation
Dual Credit Courses - Jr.’s and Sr.’s that have earned a “C” or better will only be responsible for $100 of tuition per class. In order for us to reimburse the students/parents we need to obtain the following:

*** Courses taken through UMKC will not be reimbursed until we receive the final grades which is typically July. 

The Meadville R-IV Summer School dates for 2015 will be May 20, 2015 through June 3, 2015.  The hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily.  School will not be in session on May 25, 2014, in observation of Memorial Day.  We will be providing FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH to all students that attend Summer School!!!  School bus services will also be provided for summer school, however, the bus will NOT run to Chula.  Summer School enrollment forms have been sent home with the students.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact the school at (660) 938-4111.

S.T.A.N.D. on April 26, 2015.  5:30-7:00pm. Supper provided.

The Wheeling 4-H Happy Harvesters will be picking up trash on Monday, 4/27.  Time - TBA
